APPRENTICE

SANDCASTLE, one can certainly speak of a talented director. Boo Junfeng (b. 1983) was rightly celebrated at the premiere of his movie at the Critics Week in Cannes 2010. SANDCASTLE was also shown at festivals in Toronto, Busan, Vancouver, Chicago, Seattle, London, among many others, and thus proves the strength of Asian film. His movie won numerous prizes, such as Best Film and Best Director in Vietnam and Singapore, as well as Best Camera in Hong Kong. APPRENTICE is Boo Junfeng’s second feature film, which will build on the success of his first work.

Many of his films show a preoccupation with specific places, as well as historical and personal memory, whilst winning awards and acclaim. They have been shown in film festivals around the world. Notable short films include UN RETRATO DE FAMILIA (2004), KATING FUGUE (2007), KELUAR BARIS (2008) and TANJONG RHU (2009).
