THE DIVE

Maximilian Erlenwein (*1975) studied sociology and media studies in Marburg and directing at the German Film and Television Academy Berlin (dffb). During his studies he worked as a cameraman and shot reports and magazine features. In 2005 he founded Fat Lady Filmproduktion, with which he realized several music videos, documentaries, image films and commercials. His feature film debut SCHWERKRAFT (2009) won the First Steps Award and the Max Ophüls Prize, among others. The psychological thriller STEREO premiered in the Panorama section of the Berlinale in 2014. The Netflix series Skylines, where he directed the first three episodes, received a total of 4 Grimme Awards, including Best Series.
