VOLT shooting begins!

Today we started with the shooting of our German-French co-production VOLT (directed by Tarek Ehlail, co-produced with Les Films D’Antoine) in Cologne and surrounding.

Starring Benno Fürmann (ANATOMIE, NORDWAND, JERICHOW), AYO (SONG „DOWN ON MY KNEES“), Sascha Alexander Geršak (5 JAHRE LEBEN, TORE TANZT) and supported by Denis Moschitto (CHIKO), Anna Bederke (SOUL KITCHEN), Kida Khodr Ramadan (KNALLHART), Stipe Erceg (BADER-MEINHOFF-KOMPLEX), Tony Harrisson Mpoudja (WER HAT ANGST VORM WEIßEN MANN?), Surho Sugaipov (LE GRAND HOMME) and André Hennicke (VICTORIA).

With support from Film- und Medienstiftung NRW, Saarland Medien, FFA / CNC, DFFF and SR/ARTE/SWR.

BOX at the 56th Thessaloniki International Film Festival

BOX is continuing its successful festival career. After winning the FIPRESCI Award at the Karlovy Vary Film Festival and having its North American Premiere at TIFF in Toronto, our co-production BOX will be presented in the International Competition at the Thessaloniki Film Festival.

The screening schedule is out now:
OLYMPION: November 10th at 15:45 p.m.
FRIDA LIAPPA: November 11th 2015 at 20:00 p.m.

Good news from Strasbourg!

Eurimages is funding our new Romanian– German– French Co-production ANA, MON AMOUR by Calin Peter Netzer!

From the FFA press release: "...ANA, MON AMOUR" the latest Film by Romanian Director Calin Peter Netzer (Golden Bear 2003 for the drama CHILD'S POSE) will be funded by EURIMAGES.
The Romanian-German-French co-production (German producer augenschein FILMPRODUKTION ) will receive 254.000 €. The story is about a self-sacrificing relationship between Ana and Tomas which is condemned to fail".

BOX at BFI London Film Festival

After Toronto, Karlovy Vary and Cologne, BOX will be screened at BFI London Film Festival!

Our Romanian-German-French co-production, directed by Florin Șerban, will be presented at the LOVE program on October 16th at 21p.m. (Cine Lumiere) and on October 17th at 13 p.m. (Vue Cinema Islington, Screen 1), which celebrates the many forms of love.

BOX is a love story about two lives, which couldn’t be more different, but who meet by coincidence…

WHO IST THOMAS MÜLLER? runs at DOK Leipzig!

On Saturday, the 31th of October 2015, our documentary WHO IST THOMAS MÜLLER? will be screened in the festival program Best of MDR at DOK Leipzig.

The movie is a humorous quest searching the most average German. The author and the director of the film Christian Heynen makes his journey through the whole country, while interviewing (almost) everybody with the name “Thomas Müller”. Additional information here…

When you are there, come around! We will be happy! The Film will be shown at Passage Kinos Wintergarten at 12:30 pm.

The DOK Leipzig takes place from 26th October till November 1, 2015.

BOX in the new festival program MADE IN NRW at Cologne Conference

Our Romanian-German-French co-production BOX directed by Florin Serban was presented on 25^th edition of the Cologne Conference. A new Program MADE IN NRW was supported by Film- und Medienstiftung NRW NRW and represented movies, that were partly filmed in NRW or realized and directed by producers and directors from there.

BOX tells the story of two different lives at a crossroads: a 19-year-old boxer is playing his first role while a thirtysomething actress is against the ropes...
