THE COALMAN wins the German Camera Award!

Congratulations to cinematographer Andreas Köhler for being awarded with the German Camera Award!

In our film THE COALMAN by director Wilm Huygen he portrays coal merchant Peter van de Beeck on his last delivery-tours through his hometown cologne. With his sensitive camera work Andreas always succeeded to find the right images for Wilms atmospheric film.

Huygen and Köhler continue their successful collaboration with our feature documentary TOUR DU FASO. The film is currently in the final stages of postproduction.

On the 31.05. the WDR "Menschen hautnah" airs Antonia Coenes and Wilm Huygens documentary THE HARDEST TIME.

The documentary follows three teenagers who are on the verge of having sex for the first time in their life. In the middle of the most disturbing time of their young life they are faced with a thousand questions and uncertainties…

Production Funding for WHO IS THOMAS MÜLLER?

We have made one big step ahead in financing our cross-media feature documentary WHO IS THOMAS MÜLLER? We have gained production funding by our regional fund Film- und Medienstiftung NRW. The broadcasters WDR and MDR are also involved as co-producers.

Director and scriptwriter Christian Heynen is already preparing the shooting which is scheduled for the end of the year.

FATHER at CineLink in Sarajevo

FATHER was selected for the co-production market at CineLink. Together with director and scriptwriter Visar Morina we will present this feature film project to co-producers and TV-Stations.

FATHER accompanies ten-year-old Nori, who is left alone in Kosovo during the 90’s and hits the road to find his father in Germany.

Visar Morina is a graduate of the Academy of Media Arts in Cologne. His graduate film DEATH BY SUFFICATION has been shown on more than 40 festivals and was broadcasted by ARTE. The script development of FATHER was funded by the Film- und Medienstiftung NRW.

WASTED DREAMS at Berlinale Co-Production Market

Our feature film project WASTED DREAMS was selected for the talent project section of the Berlinale Co-Production Market.

In WASTED DREAMS director and scriptwriter York-Fabian Raabe draws an intense portrait of an African refugee torn between the demands of his relatives in Gahna and the realities in Germany. The feature film debut of York-Fabian Raabe will be an international co-production.

BETWEEN HEAVEN AND EARTH, his short film with a similiar topic, has won numerous awards (L.A. shorts, "Max Ophüls Preis" etc). and was screened at the most renowned festivals, such as Berlinale, Cannes, etc.

WDR co-produces WHO IS THOMAS MÜLLER?

The broadcaster WDR joins our cross-media feature documentary WHO IS THOMAS MÜLLER? as co-producer. The WDR will be involved both in the cinema movie and the online activities.

At WDR Jutta Krug takes responsibility for the project as commissioning editor.

Director and scriptwriter Christian Heynen is no newcomer to WDR. Besides WDR his films where already shown on 3SAT, ARTE, Discovery Channel, Eins Festival, NDR, Phoenix, RBB, WDR, ZDF and ZDF Neo.

MONEY is selected for Documentary Campus Masterschool

Director Philipp Enders is invited with our documentary film project MONEY to the Documentary Campus Masterschool.

Together we will participate in four intensive workshops in different European cities. With the aid of international experts this programme will enhance the international potential of MONEY.

Consciously using childish naivety the documentary MONEY establishes a connection between money and religious belief. Thereby mammon provides a provacative perspective on our financial jungle.

New-media funding for WHO IS THOMAS MÜLLER?

Our cross-media feature documentary WHO IS THOMAS MÜLLER? is supported by the new media fund of Film- und Medienstiftung NRW. The new media fund was announced for the first time.

The cross-media project by director and screenwriter Christian Heynen questions whether a "typical German(ness)" even exists.
