Funding for APPRENTICE from Film- und Medienstiftung NRW

Our movie APPRENTICE is funded by the Film- und Medienstiftung NRW with €45.000. The movie is a co-production between Singapore and Germany.

Director Boo Jungfeng scrutinizes the process of death penalty in a very profound way. His previous movie SANDCASTLE was screened in 2010 at the Filmfestival in Cannes in La Semaine de la critic.

Film- und Medienstiftung NRW funds BOX

We have recently received a commitment for €200.000 from the Film- und Medienstiftung NRW. We are happy to start shooting this exciting project very soon. 

Director Florin Serban's last movie IF I WANT TO WHISTLE I WHISTLE was awarded with two silver bears at the Berlinale 2010.

ENDZEIT on air today!

Our documentary ENDZEIT will be on air today. The movie starts at 22:30 at Phoenix.

The movie is about the end of the fossil period and tells about it with a short and human story. ENDZEIT won the PHOENIX-Förderpreis 2010.

Film- und Medienstiftung NRW funds MY BROTHERS KEEPER (WT)

MY BROTHER'S KEEPER (WT) from the director Maximilian Leo will be supported by the Film- and Medienstiftung NRW with 400.000 €. Thus, the financing is closed and we are looking forward to begin the shooting end of May 2013.

The film tells Gregor’s (33) quest for clues about his brother Pietschis` (29) whereabout. More and more Gregor realizes how little he knows about his brother’s life. Signs for a suicide become revealed as Gregor drifts deeper and deeper into his brother’s life until he is on the verge of loosing his own identity. With Pietschi gone Gregor cannot remain the same person he was before.

KID at the Film Festival in Rotterdam!

After the World Premier of KID was celebrated in Rome, we are happy, that the film will also be shown at the International Film Fest Rotterdam taking place from 23.01.2013 to 03.02.2013.

We coproduced KID in with the Belgian production company Prime Time and the Dutch N279 Entertainment. It is the third feature film by Fien Troch, whose previous films SOMEONE ELSE'S HAPPINESS and UNSPOKEN ran in Toronto, San Sebastian, Gothenburg and Turin.

The search for WHO IS THOMAS MÜLLER? started!

Director Christian Heynen started shooting our feature documentary WHO IS THOMAS MÜLLER. At the same time, we launched the transmedia quest for the most average German.

More information can be found on www.wer-ist-thomas-mueller.de and on Facebook. The shooting will take place all over Germany until march 2013.

The film is produced with the support of German broadcasters WDR and MDR. It is funded by "Film- und Medienstiftung NRW" and the "Deutscher Filmförderfonds" (DFFF). Camino Filmverleih will distribute the film theatrically in Germany.

World Premiere of KID in Rome

Our co-production KID will celebrate its world premiere at the International Rome Film Festival. We co-produced KID together with Belgian production company Prime Time and Dutch N279 Entertainment.

KID is the third feature film of Fien Troch. Her films SOMEONE ELSE'S HAPPINESS and UNSPOKEN were shown in Toronto, Rotterdam, San Sebastian, Gothenburg, Turin, etc. We are pleased that Fien continues with KID her successful career.

The festival takes place from 9th to 17th November.

AMID VALLEYS AND MOUNTAINS opens competition in Rio film festival

Our Brasilian co-production AMID VALLEYS AND MOUNTAINS opens the competition of Rio Film Festival, which takes place from 27th to 11th October. AMID VALLEYS AND MOUNTAINS is the second movie of Philippe Barcinski. With his debut film he won over 20 international awards, including at the festivals in Sundance and Chicago. We are confident that AMID VALLEYS AND MOUNTAINS will follow a similar route.

The film was co-produced by augenschein and funded by Film- und Medienstiftung NRW.
