nominee for "Deutscher Kamerapreis"

We are very happy to announce that the film DRESDENPRAGUE by Maximilian Leo was nominated in both categories for the "DEUTSCHER KAMERAPREIS 2010".

From 101 entries in the category short film DRESDENPRAGUE succeeded to get in the group of the 4 nominees for camera as well as being one of two nominees for editing. We congratulate our DOP Matteo Cocco and our Editor Frederik Geisler.

The 20th "DEUTSCHER KAMERAPREIS 2010" will take place at June 27th during the medienforum.nrw in Cologne.

FRAU AM MEER in Oberhausen´s competition

Rosa Hannah Ziegler´s final film at the academy for media arts Cologne FRAU AM MEER will have its national premiere at the 56th international short film days Oberhausen.

The screening will be on May 2nd at 14.30 in the Gloria. We are already looking forward to a hopefully large audience.

festival run for MAPI LIBERIA

Good news from our documentary MAPI LIBERIA. After being bought by the Goethe Institut MAPI LIBERIA was invited to several festivals.

At the beginning of March it was shown at the 7th International Soccer Film Festival 11mm in Berlin, end of March at Cape Wineland´s Festival in Kapstadt/South Afrika, in April at Saalam film + dialog festival in Danemark and in May at the XXV. Black International Cinema Festival in Berlin.

THE MAGIC CAPE at the Max Ophüls Awards

We are delighted that this graduate thesis film at the ifs (Internationale Filmschule Köln) by Claudia Reinhard and Philipp Lutz will see its German premiere at the Max Ophüls Awards 2010 in Saarbrücken.

The screening will take place on Friday, January 22nd, 2010, at 3 p.m. in the cinema "achteinhalb" in Saarbrücken.

Shooting of NACHMIETER completed

The shooting of the KHM graduate thesis film NACHMIETER by director Marc Metzger has been completed successfully today.

Our gratitude goes to the whole team for the great and selfless work that has been put into it and that has even made it possible to shoot a scene set in the summer of 1945 at -17 degrees Celsius in the Harz Mountains.

German premiere of DRESDENPRAGUE in Mainz

The KHM graduate thesis film DRESDENPRAGUE by director Maximilian Leo will get its German premiere at the film festival FILMZ in Mainz.

It will be showing as part of the film series "mittellang bis Mitternacht" ("middle-long shorts till midnight") on November 26th at 10 p.m. in the Cinestar in Mainz.

SPACE IN BETWEEN travels around the world

The short film SPACE IN BETWEEN by director Maximilian Leo had its world premiere at the B16 in Brno.

Additionally, this month it will now be screened in Beijing, Istanbul and at the Filmets in Badalona. Meanwhile, we are still eagerly expecting its German premiere...

WHAT REMAINS completed

The documentary WHAT REMAINS by Philipp Lutz has been completed successfully.
We are really glad that 89-year-old protagonist Ilse's health is better again.
