THE INNOCENT at Max Ophüls Preis Festival
THE INNOCENT by Simon Jaquemet is screened as part of the MOP-Watchlist at Max Ophüls Preis 2019! The festival is the most important for young German-speaking film and has been considered - for more than 40 years - to be a platform for discovering talents from Austria, Germany and Switzerland. It takes place in Saarbrücken between January 14th and 20th - THE INNOCENT will be screened Friday, the 18th (2.30 p.m. at Filmhaus) and Saturday, the 19th (8.15 p.m. at CineStar).
The MOP-Watchlist presents a selection of the most exciting German-speaking Newcomer films, which have celebrated their premieres at other festivals during the last year of production. In doing so, recent works of former MOP competition participants are preferred for this section of the festival.
In 2015, Simon Jaquemet won the award for Best Fiction Film as well as the award for Best Newcomer Actor with his feature debut film CHRIEG.
