augenschein and A24 are producing David Lowery’s pop music epic MOTHER MARY, starring Oscar® winner Anne Hathaway and Emmy® winner Michaela Coel. A24 will handle the film’s worldwide distribution.

A24 has once again partnered with filmmaker David Lowery to bring his latest project, MOTHER MARY, to life. This epic pop melodrama follows the story of musician Mother Mary (Anne Hathaway) and her relationship with iconic fashion designer Sam Anselm (Michaela Coel).

MOTHER MARY is produced by David Lowery, Toby Halbrooks, and James M. Johnston, alongside Jeanie Igoe of Homebird Productions and Jonas Katzenstein, Maximilian Leo, and Jonathan Saubach of augenschein Filmproduktion.

Original songs for the film will be written and produced by Jack Antonoff and Charli XCX, with the score composed by Daniel Hart.
